This page turns the Barndo documentation set into an execution board: what has to become real, who owns the next move, and which LDD or drawing controls the decision.
Canonical design intent and constraints. Treat these as the bible until an override changes the source.
AHJ, civil/site, structure, MEP, budget, and drawing package before construction confidence.
Budget is still a controlling constraint, not a footnote after design ambition gets comfortable.
Floor plans, architectural sheets, and CAD exports should become the professional drawing layer above LDDs.
Roadmap to Reality
Confirm jurisdiction and code basis
Lock AHJ, use classification, fire/life-safety framing, snow/wind/seismic assumptions, and Korean BBQ interpretation in writing.
Convert intent into drawings
Build the floor-plan and architectural set from the LDD bible, then cross-link drawings back to controlling documents.
Engineer the risky systems
Structural spine, radiant slab, ERV/cooking vent, envelope, electrical capacity, and lift/material movement need professional sizing.
Reconcile budget against bid reality
Line-item bids should prove whether the PEMB-efficient path can land near the strict envelope or whether scope needs phasing.
Issue construction package
Release drawings, LDDs, bid alternates, commissioning requirements, and photo-verification rules as one controlled package.
Build with verification loops
Use pre-pour photos, manifold maps, airtightness targets, mockups, inspections, and commissioning docs to prevent undocumented improvisation.

Site + Civil
Site plan
Keep FFE, pier foundation assumptions, grading, floodplain notes, sewer lateral, and access logic together.
Civil questions
Use the civil-engineering question list as the meeting agenda until it is replaced by stamped site/civil deliverables.
CAD handoff
DWG/DXF should live as source files. The site should publish web-safe PDF/SVG/PNG exports for review.
Working Rule
The LDDs are the canonical design bible. The Project Command page controls execution focus. Drawings and CAD become the professional translation layer. Audits and Watercooler remain commentary unless David explicitly promotes a change into the LDD source.
